Applicability
This Ride Out Privacy Statement applies to the collection, use and other forms of processing of personal data by Ride Out BV in Amsterdam (“Ride Out”) in connection with our services, Ride Out branded products and this website.

Who is responsible for processing your personal data?
Ride Out B.V. (Stadionplein 22, 1076 CM Amsterdam, the Netherlands) is the legal entity responsible for all collections and all processing of your personal data in connection with Ride Out’s branded products, services and websites.

Ride Out is part of Pon Holdings B.V. and its affiliated companies (“Pon”). Ride Out and Pon are committed to respecting and protecting your privacy and protecting the personal data you share with us.

Why do we process your personal data?
Personal data is any information about an identified or identifiable natural person. If you choose to register your personal data, contact us or visit our websites, we process some personal data about you. We process this personal data for the following purposes:

  1. Communicating with you in a personalised way or informing you about Ride Out branded products and/or services in accordance with your choices;
  2. Providing customer service, including service around the purchase of services and/or products, fulfilling warranty obligations and product recalls for our own services and those of affiliated companies, and handling complaints and enquiries;
  3. Processing your purchase of Ride Out branded products including financial and logistical processing;
  4. Processing your account with Ride Out;

  6. To conduct market research and improve our business, services and Ride Out branded products or to develop new business, services and products;

What personal data do we process?

    This is data that is collected or automatically generated while you are using Ride Out’s websites, products or services. Metadata is often collected or generated when you use a computer device or when you send data over a computer network, such as the internet. This data includes data you use in the user interface and during other device activities, as well as IP addresses, unique device IDs, MAC addresses of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth devices, cookies and computer activity data.

Our legitimate interests include marketing, advertising, security, (crime) prevention, IT management, research and analysis of own products or services, corporate governance, legal affairs, internal management.

If you have consented to the processing of your personal data, you have the right to withdraw it, at any time, by sending a request to privacy@pon.com.

How do we share or transfer your personal data?
You should be aware that Ride Out is part of a business group within Pon and that departments (such as marketing and IT) may be part of global companies of Pon. As a result, your personal data may be shared with and/or transferred to the other business group companies or other Pon business units worldwide. Ride Out may share your personal data with the manufacturer(s) of your Ride Out product for the purposes of providing customer service, providing service, fulfilling warranty obligations, registering Ride Out products, performing statistical analysis and market research, and improving and developing our business, services and Ride Out products.

Ride Out may also share your personal data with third parties to perform certain activities on Ride Out’s behalf and to facilitate services they provide to us. These may include providers of services such as website hosting, data analytics, payment processing, order fulfillment, information technology and related infrastructure facilities, customer service, email delivery, auditing and other services. Ride Out may also share your personal data with third parties so that they can send you marketing communications, in accordance with your choices. Ride Out require that these third parties process and protect your personal data with care. Ride Out will not sell your personal data to third parties.

Ride Out may reorganise, merge or otherwise sell or divest all or part of a business to another company. If such company is related to Ride Out, such transfer of ownership may include the transfer of your personal data to the new owner and its advisers.

We will only disclose your personal data if it is permitted or authorised by law, necessary to prevent or combat fraud, necessary for dispute resolution or necessary for any other legitimate need that outweighs your privacy interests in the circumstances, such as the security of our business and the safety of our staff.

Ride Out will take appropriate technical and organisational security measures against loss or unlawful processing of your personal data. This may include the use of secure registration forms, data encryption and access restriction to your personal data.

However, you can be confident that Ride Out will take appropriate security measures regarding the confidentiality and protection of your data. For transfers from the EEA to countries that the European Commission does not consider to offer an adequate level of data protection, we have taken adequate measures such as contractual agreements, as approved by the European Commission, concluded with third parties. How long do we keep your personal data?

We will endeavour to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable, and in any event within the time limits required by law.
